Our First XMAS
Saturday, December 20th, 2003I couldn’t pass up showing everyone the mini christmas tree we have in our duplex. The first time I saw it, I laughed for about five minutes, for various good spirited reasons.

I couldn’t pass up showing everyone the mini christmas tree we have in our duplex. The first time I saw it, I laughed for about five minutes, for various good spirited reasons.

From http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Movies/12/17/film.rings.mortensen.ap/:
“In Mortensen’s real-life love life, he once was married to Exene Cervenka, a singer with the rockabilly-punk band X; they divorced in 1997.”
Sounds to me like Aragorn is or once was a punk rocker. Weird. Aragorn is also
the name of a real person who may very well still be a punk rocker. Whoa! Double weird.
My meeting with another programmer today lasted more than two hours. It started just after lunch time, but I wasn’t able to get any food beforehand. As it would happen, it was also freezing outside and the usual lunch partner was vacant from the office. In this situation, I usually stick around work, skip lunch and head home alittle early. One eatery called to me though. It was the familiar voice of Panchero.
If you know Panchero’s, you already know it is a source of all Mexican food that is cheap around Ann Arbor, besides possibly Sabor Latino. And if you’ve talked to me lately, you will know that I am on my own personal boycott of Panchero’s because of events occuring within Panchero’s early last summer. Would I hold out against the tempation of taste or give in to my desires and lose my own battle for economic supremacy?

When the State Control record store existed, I worked with a couple other guys to collect zines for the store to sell. After we folded I was left with the majority of these ‘zines, mostly of the personal, political and musical nature.
If you would like to get these ‘zines, I’m going to be giving them away in bunches. If you’re going to sell them not for profit or give them away, please contact me and I can give you more details about the zines. Since I would like to get rid of them quickly, the bunches will be larger than smaller (unless you’re a beloved close and personal friend), and I’ll charge for any shipping.
I can be reached at adam@404.org.
Our time together was short, fashion hat. But I always remember how you kept my head above 100 degrees fehrehnheit all summer long with your soft padded foam on all sides. Decker Drugs may have sold you for only one dollar that fateful summer day of 2001 during Art Fair, but Fashion baby, you’re worth a million dollars to me. If I knew how to sew I would resurrect you, but my stitch kit is seriuosly lacking in all appropriate departments. Fashion Hat Brown is grieving your passing just as I am, you will be missed.

When they say it, they mean it. “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” Or something to that extent. My genius will be doing dishes, organizing CDs, plotting out world conquest, and cleaning in general for the rest of the day. Who knows. I may even work out! Be like me and wash all your sins away with a few squirts of windex. THE BATHROOM IS CLEAN!
Tonight is my second to last class of the semester in Functional Piano I at WCC. I’ve really enjoyed getting back into playing the piano. Up until I was ten or eleven, I took lessons, first Suzuki, then traditional. It was the traditional methods, and what I thought were poor teachers (and perhaps what i felt was too much parental pressure) that I think killed my interest at the time. But now I’m older and full of regret, just like the mom said I would be.
Level I was a bit slow, but I needed slow to get back into the swing of things, so hopefully I’ll have time to take a more advanced class in the future.
Our final pieces were to be recited in front of class next week, but since I’m going to be at the LOTR trilogy movies in Southfield the entire day (*crossing fingers*), I really need to recite tonight. I’m not totally satisfied with where I’m at with the piece, so I’ve got to go practice more at school.
My final piece is Scherzino by Samuil Maykapar. I believe it’s in F# minor (or A major), and takes about 40 seconds to play. That 40 seconds I’m sure will seem like 3 minutes when I’m up there. Scherzino translates to “They Joke” in Italian according to Babelfish.altavista.com. And it is at a high, jocular speed at which the piece is played. The search for “scherzino maykapar” at google doesn’t turn up to many interesting pages at first glance.
