Fastest Jack-o-lantern Ever

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

Work has kept me pretty tied up for the last week. Whatever “downtime” I’ve had at home has mostly been taken up with trying to complete a project by Today, coincidentally Halloween. It’s mostly finished, so what other to do than celebrate by carving a pumpkin. Celebrate! No dressing up this year, but I could easily turn into a drunk at the stroke of midnight.

No time to lose, I carved this baby in under 20 minutes! Live in fear of my deft knife skillz. boo!

Tag Clouds in Amazon Recommends

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

I just noticed that when you click on the ‘your store’ tab on Amazon it takes you to a recommendations page that has a tag cloud of different product categories. My biggest tag was ‘Alternative Dance’. I’m so excited, I’m so ashamed!

Solitaire-ity

Monday, July 10th, 2006

About once a day I look across to the 6th floor of the building across the way and see that lady playing solitaire. I’m contemplating taking a photo of her everytime it happens as to document, then send it to her boss. I’m just that mean. rar!

Watering the Grass

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

This weekend I’ve been housesitting for Ariana and Andrew, who are away in Coeur d’ Alene for the weekend. They just got sod put down in their backward so it needs to be watered alot. I’ve been spending my afternoons sitting on their back deck so I get to overhear the neighborhood.

There’s got to be something about coats and moms. Within 2 minutes of one another two cars pulled into different driveways in the back and side of the house, with both moms lecturing their kids about their coats. Strangely, the first mom was telling her son that he should have had his coat on while the second mom was yelling at him about wearing his coat too much. C’mon moms, pick one and go with it.

So There!

I’m sorry, but I think this moving to a large city where you know two other people and living alone thing has finally caught up with me, cos I can’t stop laughing at all these t-shirt designs. The best part about me buying one in the next few minutes is that you won’t ever be able to say, “Hey, I read that post where you said you were going to buy that,” when you see me.

Televised Tech

Friday, March 10th, 2006

Paul, Steve and I took the Television Studio Production class down at CTN (Ann Arbor’s Cable Access). We recently finished the course and need ideas for our show.

We’ve got a hazy sketch of a TechTV-like show that involves lots of chroma-key, drinking beer and extremely esoteric technical topics like lexers or something equally spiffy. Jeremy wants to do a variety/dance show, which sounds like it might be fun, but my heart is in dorkery at the moment. Send your ideas to one of us three dudes, we need them, and we promise to execute the best ones. Viva DorkTV!

Chris Rock Loves Miami Vice

Sunday, December 11th, 2005

I’m watching an episode of Miami Vice with Chris Rock in it. He’s playing a computer nerd and he looks 14. I wish I had some TiVo action so I could post some of those screenshots. Oh damn, its got some hot dream sequences with Chris in them! To Be Continued!?!?!

Hot Babes of the World Unite!

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

On Attack of the Show, Kevin mentioned something about the hot girls from My Space. And then it dawned on me: The true power that the totally smokin’ vixens of My Space wield! What makes a social network popular? Hot photos! And what is more of a hotter photo than that of a hot babe who is socially whoring herself to the semi-anonymous masses.

This is my call to you, Hot Mamas of My Space! Unite now and create a group, you can demand a wage for your presence and move fluidly between social networking sites at will if your demands are not met!
